Pavement Rehabilitation Project Schedule Change

PEORIA -- Due to weather, construction is now slated to start Oct. 10 on milling and paving near Mt. Hawley Airport's western-most row of hangars and south connecting taxiway.
Contractors still expect to keep the original runway closure dates of Oct. 16 to Oct. 20.
Once work starts, Mt. Hawley hangar tenants will have limited to no access to their aircraft. Pilots who need to fly during the runway closure should contact Airports Director Gene Olson or Operations Director Doug Palmer at (309) 697-8272, ext. 100 and arrangements can be made to temporarily relocate your aircraft to the Peoria International Airport.
As a safety precaution, all pilots are asked to tow their aircraft away from the construction areas before starting the engine. Anyone needing help moving their aircraft should contact 3MY Line Service at (309) 303-1003 during business hours or PIA Airport Operations at (309) 697-8272, ext. 110 after hours.
